Bisexuality and Pansexuality a Small Guide

Check out this helpful guide to bisexuality vs pansexuality. We posted a meme that made reference to Deadpool’s pansexuality and some people were asking what that meant or, “what is pansexual?”. So we posted this cute and helpful little guide to bisexuality and pansexuality by @nomsikka:

  1. I was totally with this, but then it changed it’s own definition to contradict itself and then continued like it didn’t just say that.

    1. Sexuality is defined in relation to the person feeling the attraction. Ie “homosexual” = an attraction to people of the same gender as me, “heterosexual” = an attraction to people of a different gender to me.

Therefore, “bisexual” = an attraction to both people of the same gender as me and people who are of different genders to me. The binary in question is same/different, not male/female, so there’s no need to crowbar that “two or more” bit into the definition in order to be trans and enby inclusive 👍

  2. I always heard that bi people had gender preferences and different feelings of attraction (i.e. craving bananas vs oranges. You like both, you just might like one more than the other at different points of your life), while pans were “gender blind.” Like, gender/sex isn’t even a factor in attraction.
