LOL! This tumblr post makes a valid point about about how so many “Icarus and the Sun” artworks and stories portray the sun as female. It’s true that Helios, which in Greek means “Sun”, in Greek mythology was the sun god. So as these posters below pointed out so eloquently, Icarus was indeed gay af, lol.
