We’re big fans of Knightmage and his Elvira, Mistress of the Dark cosplay is absolutely fabulous! You may remember him from his amazing Larry Croft – Lara Croft Genderbend cosplay that we posted previously. He is really talented and has so many legit cosplays. Be sure to like his facebook page to keep up with his work! Here’s what he had to say about his surprise Elvira cosplay:

“I’m not sure who had this on their Knightmage cosplay bingo card but here ya go anyways. This iconic character and Cassandra Peterson is always a win! All the makeup is Wolfefx, Mehron Pressed Powder and L.A Colors Eye Shadow. It’s also a good thing I don’t skip chest days in the gym so all I had to do was some contouring.

Now, go “Be yourself, no matter what people say. For if you were a perfect person, you would still be judged by people.”

And he also added this inspiring message in a second post:

“My excited face seeing all the love that Elivra is getting.  To be serious for a moment though, as much love as it’s getting, of course it’s getting some hate too. Obviously I’m no stranger to that though but I just want to say and reiterate this….. Art, which cosplay is, is 110% subjective. When you put yourself out there for the world to see you open yourself up to a world of criticism. Unfortunately you just have to accept that. The good part is there’s always way more positive out there than negative. Focus on that! Trust me that people are noticing and inspired by your passion.

In all transparency one of the many reasons why I continue to be as prolific as possible (other than it’s fun) is to show that regardless of the few negatives there’s wayyyy more positive out there than anything else. Don’t let the negative ever deter you from your your art or passion. I’ll gladly be the example of that. As always, be you, be genuine, be humble, be inspired, be inspiring, be an example.”
