This viral Reddit AITA (Am I The Asshole?) thread asks “AITA for laughing hysterically after a date kept insisting to me that women have periods from their butts?” and we can’t stop laughing either. This 22-year-old dude was thoroughly convinced that women have their periods through their butts, and when she corrected him he of course mansplained how female anatomy works and insisted that some women do indeed have butt periods. I really feel like this belongs in the People Who Failed Miserably at the Female Anatomy post, haha:

He is definitely the AH here. First, for arguing with a woman about female anatomy. Dude, explain what you think and why, but then be open to education (and correction of misinformation) from an actual person who owns said anatomy! It sounds like she didn’t start laughing at him until he kept stubbornly insisting on nonsense.
Second, dude, even if you’re embarrassed and angry in the moment, have the guts to admit that you’re wrong, and apologize to her. Don’t just cut off contact. Most of the human population would be hermits if we couldn’t learn to move past an incident where we made a fool of ourselves. Use this as a way to increase intimacy with your girlfriend, not as a reason to break up.
So, yes, he’s the AH for apparently valuing his girlfriend less than his ego.
