Best Captain America Lines in Avengers: Age of Ultron

These are some of Captain America’s best lines in Marvel‘s Avengers: Age of Ultron.

When Maria Hill remarks about two future Avengers (Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver) having volunteered for experimentation Steve Rogers responds to her with self-deprecating irony. Here is the full exchange:

Maria Hill: “File says they volunteered for Strucker’s experiments. It’s nuts.”

Steve Rogers: “Right. What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on them in order to protect their country?”

Maria Hill: “We’re not at war, Captain.”

Steve Rogers: “They are.”

  1. “No war in America for over 70 years doesn’t mean other countries weren’t so lucky…” Yeah. For 70 years the other countries were “unlucky” often for being invaded by the US for no good reason .

    1. Hell, think of it. We’ve been in Bosnia and Kosovo for 30 years in an ongoing conflict. Iraq and Afghanistan for almost 20. Technically, there is only a cease fire in Korea, and we’ve been there for 60 years.
