For some weird reason, this reminds me of a 1985 anime movie by Mamoru Oshii (yes, the director of Ghost In The Shell), titled Angel’s Egg. And, trust me, this is not a negative comment!
I love 3 dots on the back of the “mother’s” neck… 4 dots on the back of the “child’s” neck… and at the end, 5 dots on the egg… it’s a good way to keep track of the generations I guess.
