Eso aka @coolurbanhippie tweeted this neat thread about a special group of the millennial generation called the “Bridge”. Full disclosure – I’m part of his microgeneration and I find this very relatable. We’ve been around since the early internet and were part of a huge cultural shift. But mostly I like this since I’d much rather be part of the bridge than be called a Geriatric Millennial, lol. Here’s the thread about Bridge Millennials:

The original term for this (my) microgeration is Xennials which is a portmanteau of GenX and Millennial, but yes… Xennials are absolutely a bridge generation. You’re a Xennial if you were born between 1976 and 1983’ish (83 – 85 there’s some debate there).
If you were born between ’76 and ’80, you’re Gen X. Gen X is 1965 – 1980.
Yes, this is a thing that needs more mentioning. As someone born in 1986 I remember once being considered the very tail end of Gen-X. Especially as someone who’s parents were both born during the Baby Boom, though my mother was at the very tail end, herself.
Gen X is 1965 – 1980. You are not tail end of Gen X.
Millennials trying to latch onto Gen X’s coat tails. You’re not the forgotten/overlooked generation kid, we are. Sure, the early Millennials share some similarities to Gen X, but we are not the same.
All this guy did is take a post about Gen X and slightly edit it.
