First of all, whenever anyone’s argument hinges on complaining about something being too “woke”, they have already lost. It’s not “woke” for diverse people to simply exist in media. Newsflash, there is no default human. Women, people of color, LGBTQ+ people, differently abled people, etc. all just exist. Their presence in media is not “pandering” or “furthering agendas”. Just let people live and be represented like everyone else. ANYWAY, this is a story from Kelly Turnbull about a ridiculous argument from a conservative who thinks media these days is too “woke”:
