Skeksis Cosplay from The Dark Crystal

Doctor Molotov looks absolutely incredible cosplaying as SkekTek the Scientist Skeksis from Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal. That’s right, she is really inside this costume! She made this amazing cosplay all from scratch herself including the sculpted and latex cast puppet head. This is so crazy good, it’s hard to tell it’s not just a costume from the movie.

The Skeksis are the main antagonists in the puppet-animated dark fantasy film The Dark Crystal and its related franchise. They were the self-proclaimed Lords of the Crystal, and rulers of an Empire which dominated Thra throughout the Age of Division. They are described by concept artist Brian Froud as “part reptile, part predatory bird, part dragon” in appearance. SkekTek was the Skeksis’ Scientist, and counterpart to urTih the Alchemist.

Her Skeksis cosplay is truly epic, but it might serve as nightmare fuel for some. A lot of kids who grew up in the 80’s were terrified of these hideous and evil creatures. But nonetheless, the cosplay is super awesome:
