“The Scholastic Age” is a great way to describe a specific era of children’s literature that many of us grew up with! It’s back when all the books were novellas printed on low quality paper, pumped out monthly, and written in series of hundreds of books. There was Animorphs, Goosebumps, Bailey School Kids, Babysitter’s Club, Magic Tree House, Fear Street, and more.

I had ALL of the Animorphs books, tons of Babysitter’s Club, and a good handful of Goosebumps and Fear Street. Sadly, the binding on the Animorphs books were so bad that they all eventually fell apart to the point they couldn’t be read anymore.
