Well, to be fair, chronic physical illness often gets the same treatment
I’ve been told I should come off the meds I take for severe vertigo and migraines because they change my sleep schedule (not by a doctor, mind)
That I should go out every day, even though I have a disorder that makes that very hard
That I’m too reliant on my wheelchair, or even my cane, or that I ‘don’t really need them’, even though my aids are the reason I even manage to leave the house three days a week
