This brilliant “Fasting” manga, original by Kazuo Umezu and this re-make by Hisashi Eguchi, is both eye-opening and terrifying. It’s only 10 pages, but tells a disturbing story that anyone who has struggled with weight can relate to in some way (read from right to left):
