Bryan Young tweeted this long thread about his thoughts on Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (Episode VIII). This is from when the movie first came out, but it recently went viral again so we thought it was worth a revisit for those who missed it back then. This is of course in response to all the Star Wars fans who were so upset with the depiction of Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi. But his theory states that given the events of The Empire Strikes Back and The Force awakens, Luke had no other choices. He explains further in the full thread:
