It’s sad to think how much medical knowledge was lost during the witch hunts. It’s even sadder to think that sexism is still rampant in the field of medicine (read Trying to Get Diagnosed While Female). Statistics show that less research is done on women’s issues and women’s pain is believed less. Anyway, this post also talks about the mysterious Voynich Manuscript and how it may have been written by women, but the men studying it have never even considered that:
