I was in a car accident just before Christmas 2022. I blacked out (reason unknown) and hit a parked car. My car was a write off. Bystanders called the ambulance that took me to hospital. I had a subdural haematoma but it wasn’t big enough to need an operation. I was kept in for two days observation. The cost to me was zero, because I live in a civilised country.
The hospital will have charged my insurance company form the ambulance, about £225. I received a bill from the garage that towed and stored ,my car, but my insurance company tool care of it. I paid bus and taxi fees for follow visits. I had a partially collapsed lung that took several months to heal. The doctors banned me from driving and I had to surrender my licence.
