Wait, what? I was today years old when I learned you’re supposed to send thank you notes after job interviews. I guess this explains why I didn’t get so many positions, lol. This is more good adult advice:
Yeah…um. No. I’m not sending “thank you’s” to anyone, especially not after an interview. Giving an interview is apart of the job as a manager, boss, owner, etc. Besides, I’ve had one too many jobs completely ghost me after an interview to bother thanking them for anything. If I didn’t get the job by the end of the interview, oh, well. It’s the company’s loss, not mine. I ain’t gonna thank them for wasting my time.
No, you don’t. If all they do is waste your time, ghost you, refuse to hire you, and don’t ever return calls, fuck them. They don’t deserve to be “thanked” for anything.
This isn’t the case AT ALL in Canada.
It’s insane considering a fact that companies ghost people after interviews not even sending generic “no thank you” message.
I had an interview once where they promised to call and let me know either way. Been waiting to hear if I got the job or not for almost 18 years now.
