Why Horses Are So Weak

This is a super interesting post about why horses are so weak. Or in other words, why horses keel over and die if mercury is in retrograde or a dog barked in Kazakhstan. Or in other words, why horses explode if you look at them funny, lol.

  1. And all of horses’ problems have been aggravated by selective breeding. Like all pedigreed animals, purebred horses are dangerously inbred. Genetic diseases are baked into the population, It gets even worse: unlike cows, which were designed to stay healthy enough to either gain weight and be eaten, or give milk which we eat, horses were selectively bred to either look pretty or go even faster than nature intended, for a few years. General health and functioning take a back seat to these specialized goals.

  2. Speaking of sheep and goats….well, remember it’s those brainless sheep that make it to heaven, and the goats that end up on the eternal BBQ. Good Shepherd, and all.
