From housing and healthcare to wages and supplies, corporations wield disproportionate power, leading to widespread exploitation and manipulation. Workers are subjected to low wages, poor living conditions, and limited autonomy, fostering an environment ripe for abuse and inequality. Company towns stifle individual freedom, inhibit economic mobility, and perpetuate a cycle of poverty, ultimately illustrating a grim portrayal of unchecked corporate power. To quote Rick & Morty, Amazon company towns just sounds like slavery with extra steps.
