This post is about how they should create a shonen anime with women. If you don’t know, “shonen” is a genre of anime and manga that is primarily targeted towards young male audiences, typically ranging from pre-adolescent to adolescent age groups. The word “shonen” itself translates to “boy” or “youth” in Japanese. Shonen anime and manga often feature themes of friendship, adventure, action, competition, and coming-of-age stories. Some popular examples of shonen anime include Naruto, Dragon Ball, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Attack on Titan.

Isn’t that sailor moon?
Not really.
Not really, no.
The problem with all the stuff recommended, is they still have shoujo IDEALS. Even Korra and She-Ra doesn’t fit this niche.
Keijo. The anime you are looking for is Keijo, a.k.a. Hip Whip Girl, a shonen sports anime about a fictional women-only contact-sport. Gratuitous violence and fan-service abounds.
RWBY is similar to this in theory. There’s more male characters, but there’s a male character who heals, and an old man trapped in a teenager’s body, and the main 4 girls are all badass monster-slaying women. Ruby, the main character, even has a specific power that’s harmful to the monsters they fight. Yang’s mom is a deadbeat.
