San is a fierce and determined warrior who possesses an intense connection to the spirits of nature. Her striking appearance, marked by her wolf upbringing and her distinctive red war paint, reflects her untamed spirit and her unwavering commitment to protecting the forest. This cosplayer nailed her look in these photos shot by Nate Arget Photography and here’s what she had to say about it:

“This was my favourite Ghibli film when I was growing up. My dad showed me this movie when I was a kid and it’s a huge part of what got me into anime and ultimately into cosplay. He never got to see me start cosplaying and I would have loved the chance to share that with him. So this character is really important to me and I’m glad I finally got to cosplay her and her some amazing photos!”
