This twitter thread points out so many examples of how animators exaggerate female animal characters with humanized “feminine” or “sexy” traits. Now of course all animation is exaggerated, but it’s odd that the male characters just seem to be the “default” normal animal and the female ones always get boobs (regardless if they’re a mammal or not, lol), big eyes, big lips, makeup, curves, etc. It’s definitely a pattern in animated animal character design. Not to even mention that in the animal kingdom it’s generally the males who get all the flash to attract mates. Anyway, here’s the thread with many examples, some good, some not so good:
