8bitrevolver aka Cool Video Game Wife created this absolutely awesome retro video game room! It features 23 different consoles and handhelds, about 450 old games, Framemeister xrgb-mini upscaler so it doesn’t look bad on a new tv, handmade custom MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) cabinet, and a fuzzy chair and fuzzy carpet. This room was a lot of work, and a lifetime of collecting! Here is her answer to a question she is commonly asked:

How did you afford that game room? Are you rich??
“My collection is over 25 years old. The very first games were purchased by my parents in the late 80’s. I have been collecting my entire life, basically. About 10 years ago, retro games were not popular like they are now. I got the bulk of my collection from retailers clearancing out games, abandoned boxes of games, donations from friends who didn’t want them, yard sales, thrift stores and flea markets. So obviously I have spent money on it, but way way way less than people think.”
