MIND=BLOWN! Another crazy Batman fan theory about Batman being, well, literally insane. What if Bruce Wayne is actually in Arkham Asylum and Batman is just a delusion he has? All of the “supervillains” are just the orderlies and doctors who work there:

Hey, maybe a farmboy called Luke Skywalker couldn’t deal with the death of his uncle and aunt. He’s in the insane asylum across from Bruce, inventing a whole new galaxy for himself.
Peter Parker is there too, driven mad after his uncle was killed.
Harry Potter, Jim Kirk, the Doctor, Nancy Drew, etc. are all in this hypothetical asylum too.
There are two things about this that irk me. The first is that it basically leads nowhere. Okay, all of those intriguing storylines and characters? They don’t exist. Forget them. No new stories in this universe can really exist under this theory.
And that segues into the second issue. It makes everything boring. No strangely costumed men, no wizards, no stories. Just the endless drabness of an insane asylum.
I don’t need that.
