Bisexual erasure is pretty rampant in our society and the media. Here is an important post with some ridiculous examples bi-erasure and biphobia in the media. Starting with reality star Marnie Simpson and the media questioning her very clear statement about being bisexual. And as you can see this has been a thing for decades now because they did it to David Bowie as well:

also the freddie mercury biopic where they are just like “you are gay. you don’t know it but youre just gay, not bi”
That movie made me so angry on many different angles, but yeah that was a big one. They were talking about doing a second one and I was like welp call it Freddie lives because that’s as close to the truth as the first one was.
And the second, the very second you are in a relationship of any kind with the opposite sex EVERYONE says “See you aren’t gay.” Dudes, Dudettes & Dudleys I never said I was.
