For your daily dose of history, here is an awesome post started by G. D. Falksen about the Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara, who saved 600 Jews during WWII. I suggest we make more statues of heroes like this. And also a movie about him because I would watch it for sure (*EDIT* I’ve been informed there is a 2015 biographical movie about him called Persona Non Grata and I can’t wait to check it out!):
