Molly Maloney retweeted this thread by Chwistopher highlighting concept art for characters that started as POC (people of color) and all ended up as blonde white women. Now obviously there’s absolutely nothing wrong with blonde white women, but clearly they are vastly overrepresented in most media. And it’s sad that even needs to be explained, but people will try to attack this as “reverse racism”. No one is trying to erase blonde white woman, they are just pointing out that more diversity is needed. And that sadly people at the “approval phase” level are constantly changing artist’s visions.
