This is a neat fantasy writing concept for a story about a court jester who always lies. Like everything he says is completely baseless and false so everyone just ignores it.
Just a fun bit of synchronicity, if you ever watch Victor/Victoria the main character and her bestie pull something very similar.
Super summarized, she’s a down on her luck classically trained singer having no luck landing a job who meets an older gay man who’s going through a tough time after his lover basically took him for all he’s worth. He gets her a job by presenting her as a man doing an incredible drag act, isn’t it so impressive that “he” can sing soprano, etc. And part of why the whole lie works is because they introduce “him” as the son of a European count who was banished when his proclivities came to light ect. And everyone is so busy calling BS on the whole foreign nobility story that it doesn’t even occur to them to doubt that Victor is a man.
