This post makes a good point about how for the most part good people don’t become insanely rich billionaires. It was written in response to this tweet by @TSearcaigh, “I don’t get people like Bezos. If I had billions of dollars, I would impulsively start fixing shit. Homeless vets? I don’t think so. Hungry children? Not on my watch. He could be Batman. What a waste.”

So sadly true. Why billionaires can’t just pick a house, relax and just enjoy a simple life, (! To them), is an illness, an addiction to more money, more power. They need an intervention. Keep 200 million, use the rest to help the world. You’ll feel better and sleep better.
The term I’ve started using is “financial anorexia”.
Some people can never lose enough weight to be satisfied. Some people can never have enough money to be satisfied.
Prader-Willi is probably a better analogy than anorexia is. It’s a genetic defect that causes the person to literally ALWAYS be hungry. (aka: hyperphagia). As in, everything remotely edible has to be locked away to keep someone with it from eating themselves to death.
