According to Hollywood Reporter actress Hannah John-Kamen has been cast as Red Sonja in the upcoming reboot movie! While she’s not who I would have initially pictured, she is an amazing actress and has been in many awesome shows so I’m for sure willing to give her a chance!

Joey Soloway is directing the project and co-wrote the script with Tasha Huo. Soloway said in a statement: “Hannah is a very talented actress who we’ve been following for years and she IS Red Sonja, Her range, sensibilities and strength are all qualities we have been looking for and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey together.”

Hannah John-Kamen played the villain in Ant-Man and the Wasp and was a lead in the sci-fi tv series Brave New World and Killjoys. She also had smaller roles in the movies Ready Player One, Tomb Raider and the tv series Game of Thrones and Black Mirror. She was also a voice actor in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
