Yup, there’s so much Hollywood logic that just makes no sense! But we accept it because we’re so used to seeing these scenes over and over again. This list points out many action movie tropes that just don’t make any sense:

“Gimme like maybe 10 minutes screen time an’ you’ll be a world class fighter/spy/computer hacker/whatever else the protagonist needs to be!” … says every action movie ever! Just… no! That’s NOT how teaching ____ skillsets works! It takes literal YEARS to get on the level of the character doing the teaching. You don’t start out in karate as a badass, board and brick breaking black belt; you start as a white belt. First, you must learn to breathe. Then, you can learn to stand. When you’ve mastered that, you can learn to breathe. Again.
Stop yelling “Stop police” at the suspect 100 yards away and then getting upset when they run
Some cops actually do this with the intention of making the suspect run so they can tact on additional charges. Of course thats not why its in the movie.
