I had this thought about “The Invention of Lying”. People said EVERYTHING that came to mind regardless of what was happening. There’s a difference between saying everything that comes to mind and saying things that aren’t true in any context.
Not voicing my thoughts about something or someone isn’t lying, it’s just not speaking. Otherwise the movie was pretty hilarious.

Could also substitute “honesty” for those people who wave around “free speech” as an excuse to be cruel, dangerous, hateful, dicks.
