You’re aware that most cakes and cookies are not made with yeast, right? They’re leavened with baking soda/baking powder, which is not organic. Bread, yes, rolls, yes, bagels, yes, doughnuts, sometimes. Not sure about the “breading” on deep-fried foods.
You are aware that this story (and most of these kinds of stories) are from the aliens perspective. They would not know yeast was not used in cake and the like.
Not going to lie. I saw “Yeast” and my first thought was “Beer.”
LOL! From what I understand, humans used yeast to make beer before they ever thought of baking with it. Maybe the aliens just never reached the bread-making stage!
