These dudebros on twitter / tumblr are actually mansplaining to Jessica Meir, an accomplished NASA astronaut / physiologist / scientist. She was selected by NASA in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Brown University, a Master of Science in Space Studies from the International Space University, and a Doctorate in Marine Biology from Scripps Institution of Oceanography (UCSD). Just in case anyone wants to question her credentials.

But anyway, the dudes attempting to “correct” her are of course wrong, as mansplainers usually are. I’m not sure where they get the unfounded confidence or the need to incorrectly correct people, but here we are, yet again. (see also Women Tweet The Dumbest Thing Mansplained To Them)

Bro, if you want to “correct misinformation” you have to be right… and it has to be misinformation you’re correcting. Fail.
