Currently in Denver, Colorado, over 8000 Kroger-owned grocery store workers are on strike. “The Great Resignation is real, you’re seeing workers across the country say enough is enough. Workers have been on strike all year, even before we walked out.” said union president Kim Cordova. 95% of UFCW Local 7 union members working at the Kroger-owned stores voted to strike this month. Workers say the issues are fair wages, work safety and respect.
