This thread of actually really great laundry advice was started in response to another ridiculous anti-millennial article. So here it is; helpful advice, hatred, saving money, and f*cking the system:
I have Silicon Balls that do the same thing as the wool dryer balls but are easier to clean
Also dryer sheets arnt useless put them over Vents to make rooms smell nice and also to dust off Fans as the dust will stick to them (also can be put in your shoes to reduce funk
Dryer sheets also help deter rodents from nesting in your car ventilation system. A package of Dollar Tree sheets is way cheaper and less stinky than having dead mice removed from your car!
Instead of fabric softener, buy a Downy reusable ball. The kind you could put fabric softener in but DON’T do that. Get giant gallon+ jugs of plain old white vinegar. Fill up to line with you $5ish gallon jug of white vinegar. Pull the top. Toss it into your wash cycle. No. Your clothes will not smell like vinegar! They will smell like your laundry soap when they are clean but they will be softer.
For laundry detergent, use only 2 tablespoons of commercial detergent. Forget the lid/cup and the fill line! Get yourself a medicine cup that goes up to 30mls (approx 2 tablespoons) and use that. Don’t have kids. Ask a friend who has young kids, they probably have tons or can aquire one for you. Also liquid cold medicine often comes in big enough cup sizes.

Can also be used to clean your hair brush. Put in cup of water over night with sheet
Dryer sheets can be held, or rubber banded, over the end of a cardboard tube, Use the tube to exhale your weed smoke.
The Bounce-enator ™ was a required piece of kit in every dorm room I was ever in… not sayin, just sayin.
