Leather Daddies at Pride and Queer History

THIS. @dreadpiratejene posted this succinct thread in response to people complaining about men wearing leather and kink wear at LGBTQ+ Pride Parades. They’re not hurting anyone and it’s not about the children (won’t somebody please think of the children *clutches pearls*). The people complaining are just uncomfortable or straight up bigoted about queerness. Respect your elders and learn some queer history.

  1. This article would be a lot better without the gate keeping. Gate keeping is ugly, whoever does it

    1. Late response, but this article is literally saying that gatekeeping is wrong, and that trying to exclude elements of gay history and culture to provide a sanitised view is bad.

    2. Except this article is against gatekeeping, and explicitly saying it’s bad. Not sure what you read there.
