LOL! This post about how lying to children is fun when they know you’re being ridiculous is pretty accurate. It’s funny to tell them little white lies that they will know are false and see their reactions:
When my kids were little, I would deliberately skip pages in their favorite books when I read to them.
“Mommy, no that’s wrong!” takes the book out of my hands and turns pages…
Hold your hand up, about head height. Say, “This is as high up as I can raise my hand. I can’t raise it any higher.” Then, raise the same hand up as high as you can and say, “I used to be able to lift it this high,” drop your hand again, “but now I can only raise it this high.”
Repeat while kids yell about how you’ve been raising your hand, and tell them that you can’t over and over. Never gets old.
