  1. Another possiblity is it’s not ‘willing’…it’s that they LITERALLy can’t afford them, especially since wages aren’t changing.

    1. Folks love to push only buying local and boycotting big companies like amazon or walmart, but thing is even if local shopping is an option (lotta places it’s not) the price difference can be staggering.

      Which it makes sense, quality is money and small shops are gonna be more expensive. But when the choice means you go hungry in order to afford those local goods, it’s not hard to understand why more people don’t.

      This isn’t even including the fact some prey on the concept that homemade/local is better quality when reality their stuff is the exact same if not worse. That’s a completely different problem in itself.
