That would be mead, not wine. But that’s a minor technicality – calling it wine can help upset the snooty wine crowd, and they need upsetting every now and then for their own good.

Mead is a honey based liquor originally made by the Irish.
A bottle was given to newly married couples, because it was believed to benefit fertility.
They would be sent away for a full lunar cycle to celebrate their marriage with said bottle of mead.
This is where the term “Honeymoon” comes from
but like wine is specifically made from fermented fruit, mead is specifically made from fermented honey
