And you are correct about most men missing the point of her. I had a frustrating discussion a few months ago with an idiot who hated the gender flip of Penguin in the newest Batman animated series. He kept insisting that ‘all female Batman villains’ needed to be ‘seductresses’ because it was the only way they could work. He used Ivy as an example and the mental gymnastics he went through when I explained she was a lot more complex and dangerous than a ‘seductress’ were a sight to behold.
