AbbyCat Cosplay and Olivia Geraghty look wonderful cosplaying together as Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter and Miss Trunchbull from Matilda in this delightful crossover. They are two of the most hated characters in British kid’s literature and this photoshoot imagines what it would look like if they became best friends and hung out.
Dolores Jane Umbridge is pretty much hated by the Harry Potter fandom. As a Professor and Headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry she had enormous power which she wielded despotically. Her time at Hogwarts was filled with cruelty and abuse against students. Because of this, she was widely despised by most students and teachers alike.
Like Umbridge, Agatha Trunchbull is also hated. She was the headmistress of Crunchem Hall Primary School in Matilda. She is depicted as a “gigantic holy terror, a fierce tyrannical monster who frightened the life out of pupils and teachers alike” notorious for her brutal discipline. Her hatred of children is so great she denies ever having been a child herself.
So as you can see, these two are absolutely perfect for each other, lol! Perhaps if they had this friendship for real they could have softened and been slightly less terrible. Or perhaps they would have just reveled in cruelty together and been even worse. Who knows, but this cosplay is truly delightful:
