LOL! This thread about questions rich people will ask you is pretty amusing and accurate. Some rich people are just wildly out of touch with how working class people live.
If a person asked me about my favourite bistro in Paris like that, I’d answer, without batting an eye “That small one in Rue d’Ausseil, the one Erich Zann used to frequent. it’s very sophisticated. But that’s only when I’m in the city. I usually stay at Chateau Roissy when I’m in France. It’s so nice not to have crowds around and they have such good service there.” I’ve never been to Paris, nevermind France of course.
Back in the early 2000s, I worked at a rich law firm (rich lawyers are on a whole new level disconnect with us normal people), one of their rich client’s daughter was “interning” in the file room. We got on the discussion of space tourism, and I pointed out the cost (somewhere in the hundreds of thousands), and she said “That’s not much.”
“That’s more than I make in a year…”
“Yeah, that’s still not much…”
“That’s more than I make in three years!”
She looked at me with this blank expression of confusion, “You need a better job.”
