I would argue that there is, and shouldn’t be, anything normal about a period. but it is a frequent occurrence and damn straight it should be talked about.
Can you explain why a period is nothing normal?
I think they mean that a period is normal, and it shouldn’t be normal.
(Because, for what f**ked up reason biology and nature thought it was a good idea to cripple a being for one week once a month?)
Anyway this is just my interpretation of their comment, I might be wrong.
As all biological women have them baring medical issues how is it not “normal”?
This might be a commentary about how we have ways to control a period now but don’t really have access because religious figures had a hand in it. Look into the history of birth control. It’s only set to have a period every month because some men with no knowledge of biology demanded it, claiming it was “more healthy” that way.
But then, in most cultures around the world women get the short end of the stick.
