Yeah. I think the biggest selling point was that they made you hate Rigel every episode… as he betrayed them, stole from them, cheated them, lorded his superiority over them… and then, dammit, they made him so indispensable and useful, the rest of the characters couldn’t shove him out an airlock… and what worse, by the end of the series, you love the little worm and would protect him with your life. That’s some writing right there.
