The Insidious Concept of “Granny Panties”

I mean seriously, why are we mocking women for wearing comfortable underwear aka “granny panties”? Not to mention many of the “sexy” undergarments are made of silk, lycra, and nylon blends which are not breathable fabric and can lead to irritation and infections. We need to stop looking down on cotton underwear as they are the best option for breathability. It’s so weird that society decided women have to be so concerned with their appearances that they even need to worry about what they wear under their clothes.

Now just a little disclaimer, obviously there’s nothing wrong choosing to wear thongs or whatever other kind of underwear you prefer. The whole point is we shouldn’t be shaming and mocking anyone for their undergarment choice, that’s just ridiculous and frankly no one else’s business!

So in conclusion, wear those granny panties with pride and be comfortable!!!

  1. Every moment the cheeks are not fully covered is spent in a murderous rage. It’s a sensory thing. The bane of my existence is the vast majority of boyshorts don’t bother with full coverage. If it has an inseam it counts, right?

  2. I used to strictly wear thongs cause I “hated pantie lines” then one day I decided to buy a bunch of comfy undies for my period.. ended up throwing out all my thongs and idgaf anymore! I don’t know where I even got the idea that I didn’t like panty lines lmao

  3. I literally tried my partner’s boxer briefs the other day and was like 😲😲😲 I just went out and bought my own because I could not find a pair of women’s boy shorts that were cut high enough for my mama tummy and didn’t ride up my ass.

  4. It amuses me no end that the 3 related articles that mediachomp decided to show me where all about ‘cute panties’ Read the room algorithm.
