The “There is Only One Bed” trope is a plot device where two characters have to share a room for the night. Every other room is occupied, but there is one last room available. The only problem is there’s only one bed, and the characters aren’t comfortable sharing it. This usually goes a long with unresolved sexual tension and is fuel for shippers everywhere.
