Blogicomics drew this comic of the “perfect” female body throughout the decades in history and modern times, according to societal beauty standards. Now of course the whole point is that these standards always change and there is no “perfect” body. The only real “perfect” bodies we have are our own and we should love ourselves no matter what we look like. Here’s what the artist said:

“When you look back at history, it’s kind of shocking to see the different “body trends” from era to era. Sometimes being stick-thin is “in” and other times, it’s all about voluptuousness! Case in point, no body type is better than any other and our bodies should not be trends! Here’s to us recognizing that the perfect body is OUR OWN BODY!”
