In 1938, English author J. R. R. Tolkien responded to a Nazi letter demanding that he prove he was Aryan. The letter was sent after he opened talks with Rütten & Loening, a Berlin-based publishing house, about a German translation of his recently-published hit novel, The Hobbit. They demanded to know if the author was Jewish. He responded with a high-class burn. Tolkien notably hated Nazi race doctrine and had no problem telling the German publishing house about it. You can read more about this here. But to sum it up:
Nazis: Are you Aryan?
Tolkien: F*ck you. And also are you?
