Ukraine Photoshoot

Ukrainian cosplay photographer and cosplayer Pugoffka posted this beautiful Ukraine themed photoshoot. The flower crown she is wearing is called a vinók which, in traditional Ukrainian culture, is worn by girls and young unmarried women. The Ukrainian wreath is a tradition dating back to the old East Slavic customs. And the shirt she is wearing is a called a vyshyvanka, which is a casual name for the embroidered shirt in Ukrainian national costumes. She is also holding a bunch of wheat tied with yellow and blue, the colors of the Ukrainian flag. The photoshoot is very powerful and here’s what the photographer had to say:

“Today I want to share with you old but very important for me photoshoot Many of you know that I am from Ukraine and this is a very difficult time for my country. Support of the whole world and each of you is very important for us, especially now. Ukraine has it’s own history, culture,language, nation, territory. Ukraine is not a “Part of Russia” It wasn’t and will never be!
