Many women stopped wearing makeup and getting their hair done when they started working from home due to the pandemic. This should be a personal choice and everyone should wear whatever they feel comfortable in, as long as it’s appropriate. But women have always faced more societal pressure to look a certain way in the workplace. This was underscored by all the whining that was done about “the death of femininity”, etc when women vocalized the fact that they didn’t want to start dressing up for office jobs again:
